Ramon Victor Pereyra was born on December 26, 1979 in San Jose, CA. He spent his younger years in San Jose. He loved to play soccer.

With his parents, he moved to La Selva Beach, CA during his high school years. In high school, he played Rugby, Football, and Baseball. He joined the US Navy as an Airdale and was stationed on the USS Nimitz Aircraft carrier in San Diego.

He served 4 years and traveled to Asia and the Middle East. He left the Navy and joined the Academy to become a Corrections Officer. He was the JCC for 40 cadets.

Ramon worked at Folsom State Prison for many years. On his spare time, he was a soccer coach to his daughter’s team. He was a great father to his children, Isabella and Ramon Jacob.

Ramon loved his children, his girlfriend, Courtney and his job. Ramon is survived by his father Ray Pereyra, his sister, Magdalena Constantino, daughter, Isabella Pereyra, son RJ Pereyra. His mother, Sandra Pereyra passed away in 2001.

He will be missed. Friends and family are welcome for visitation from 5-7PM with a vigil service at 6PM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 and are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM on Friday, January 18, 2019 all at Divine Savior Catholic Church (9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA). The committal service with military honors will be held at 12:30PM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (5810 Midway Road, Dixon).
