Randy A. Hawkins, age 64, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away March 26, 2019 at the Rensselaer Care Center. He was born in Crown Point, Indiana on July 22, 1954, the son of William Blaine and Betty Jean (Parmely) Hawkins. Randy graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1972.

He was employed with JB Equipment Co. in Morocco, Indiana as a heavy equipment operator. Randy previously worked with Local #150 out of Merrillville, Indiana and had been a former truck driver with Babcock Fuels in Lowell, Indiana. An avid hunter and fisherman, Randy enjoyed deer hunting and catfish fishing.

He especially liked the thrill of a challenging hunting or fishing experience. On December 15, 1988, in Lowell, Indiana Randy married Janice Mae Coker who survives. Surviving with his loving wife Janice are two sons, Henry Allen (Jessica) Hawkins of Brook, Indiana and Eugene David (Lisa) Hawkins of Kentucky; four step-children, Bonnie Marie (Jeremy) Harness of North Carolina and Christopher Michael Coker, Melissa Mae (Raul) Martinez and Sara Jean (Brandon) James all of Rensselaer; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and his brother, Raymond (Mary Jo) Hawkins of Kimmell, Indiana.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents William and Betty, a son Daniel Blaine Hawkins and a sister. Cremation services are being handled by Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Randy A. Hawkins please visit our Sympathy Store.
