OBITUARY Rashelle “Shelle” (Smith) Butschek December 11, 1968 – November 5, 2018 Rashelle “Shelle” (Smith) Butschek of New Braunfels, Texas went to be with the Lord Monday, November 5, 2018 at the age of 49. She was born at the Armed Forces Hospital in Landstuhl Germany on December 11, 1968 to David and Shirley Smith. Shelle grew up in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated from Port Neches-Groves High school.

She later attended and graduated from Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing. Soon after, she met and married Kevin Butschek on June 5, 1993 in Groves, Texas. Shelle was proud to be a wife and loved being a mom to their three children, Svitlana, Nikolas, and Kateryna.

Shelle is survived by her parents, David and Shirley Smith of Canyon Lake; her loving husband of 25 years, Kevin Butschek; children, Svitlana, Nikolas, and Kateryna of New Braunfels; brother, Troy Smith and wife Claudia, and their children Weston and Greyson of Cypress, TX. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ivan and Lois Smith, and Harry and Elizabeth Heidt; uncles, Jerry Heidt, Wayne Stroh, and Earl Novotny, and Aunt Diana Heidt. Public Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the Rosary recited at 7:00 PM.

The Funeral Mass will begin at 10: 00 AM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at 12:00 pm at Sts.

Peter and Paul Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission of Divine Mercy, 1531 Indian Chief Trail, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133. www.
