Ray Humphrey of Del City, passed away on January 3, 2019, he was 89 years old. Ray was born on March 12, 1929 in Byars, OK, the son of Arvel Lee and Mattie Quinntilla (Allen) Humphrey. He married the love of his life Dorothy Jo in 1947 and would spend 67 wonderful years together.

They settled down in Del City where they raised their family. He worked at Tinker AFB as a B-52 Item Manager for Thirty years retiring in 1984. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and cheering on the grandchildren as they participated in various sports throughout the years. Ray was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Herbert R. Humphrey Jr. of Choctaw, daughters; Jo Elaine Kelch and husband Albert of Midwest City, and Donna Thompson of Midwest City, grandchildren; Sheila, Herb III, Heather, Brian, Kym, Dale, Karly, Stephen, Alan, Adam, and Stevie; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his parents; 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. Funeral service for Ray will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1/6 12PM-8PM and Monday, 1/7 8AM-8PM at the funeral home.
