Ray Lee Vestal, Sr., 71, of Franklin Furnace, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Born on September 28, 1947 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Roy and Ellajean Riley Vestal, and was a retired laborer from OSCO. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Shirley Springs Vestal, his son, Tommy Vestal and a sister, Betty Vallentine.

Surviving are a son, Ray Lee (Crystal) Vestal, Jr. of Franklin Furnace, a daughter, Angela Compton of Franklin Furnace, a sister, Mary Moritz of Arcanum, five grandchildren, Thomas and Chris Vestal, Andrea and Zach Compton and Stephanie Adkins, and two great-grandchildren, Laura Harrison and Zoewie Ridout. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22nd, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
