Ray Powell, 77, of Holly Pond, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. He was born in Cullman County on April 28, 1941, to Jack and Rosalee Duskin Powell. Ray was a brick mason by trade and a former member of the Brick Mason’s Union.

He served several years as treasure of the Union. He was also member of Eidson’s Chapel Church. Ray was more importantly a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

His absence will be felt greatly by many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Rosalee Powell; and his wife, Diann Hornsby Powell. Survivors include his son, Sandy (Candy) Powell; daughter, Regina (Randy) Smith; brother, Randall Powell; sisters, Eloise Richardson, Jan Sandlin; grandchildren, Felicia Grigsby, Heather Grigsby, Kody Smith, Tyler Keenum, Cody McCaul; and five great-grandchildren.
