Obituary for Ray Sponseller Ray Sponseller, 53, of Alliance, passed away July 23, 2016 at his home after a long illness. Born in Alliance on April 4, 1963 to Ralph and Carolyn (Wagner) Sponseller, he was a graduate of Marlington High School. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved spending time with his family.

Ray leaves behind his wife, Shelly and his son, Vincent. He also leaves behind his mother, Carolyn Snode; father, Ralph (Kathy) Sponseller; six brothers and sisters, Kim (John) Ameser, Ron (Tina) Sponseller, Kelly (Tom) Jackson, Kerry Sponseller, Ryan (Camilla) Sponseller, and Jake (Andrea) Sponseller; brother-in-law, Shane (Chris) Lott; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Ray also leaves behind his best friend, Walt Mindling, who was always there for Ray, Shelly and Vince, a true friend.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, John and Dorothy Wagner; grandfather, Ray Sponseller; grandmother Inez Moore; step-father, Kenny Snode; mother-in-law, Debra Hume; and nephew, Isaac Sponseller. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
