Raymond’s Obituary Born June 1, 1921 in New Port News, VA. , Raymond was a loving husband and father who went to be with his Savior on March 7, 2019. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Alice Markham Cook.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Brackett (Charles), Columbia; his son, Raymond Cook, Jr. (Judy), Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Nathan Brackett (Nicole), Anissa Uscocovich (Carlos), Lindsey Cook (F. B.); great-grandchildren, Laurel Brackett, Luke Brackett, Cassandra, Abigail, Carleigh and Cedric Uscocovich, Miles Harrison Cook and Mackenzie Grace Mack. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, David W. Cook.

Raymond was a WW II veteran. He was a resident of Aiken, SC since 1952; a senior process engineer for the Savannah River Plant; and a member of First Christian Church. The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Amedysis Hospice, Espey Home Care, and Forest Pines Retirement Center for their wonderful love and care of Dad.

Also, we thank our family and friends for their prayers and support during this difficult time. We invite you to join us for a memorial service on Saturday, March 16th at the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home on East Pine Log Rd. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation at 1:00 and memorial service at 2 with burial to follow. We request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his name to the St. Jude’s Children’ Hospital. SHELLHOUSE – RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, 715 EAST PINE LOG RD.
