OBITUARY Raymond D. “JuneBug” Staples, Jr. April 4, 1959 – February 1, 2019 CROPWELL – Funeral Service for Raymond D. “June Bug” Staples, Jr., age 59, will be Monday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Evening Star Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Staples passed away Friday, February 1, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond D. Staples, Sr. & Sylvia Staples. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Perry Staples; son, Hunter Staples; daughter, Jennifer Staples (Mack) Castleberry; 3 grandchildren, Avery Lauren Castleberry, Emory Layne Castleberry, Huxley Michele Castleberry; brothers, Brian (Tammy) Staples, Lynn Staples; sister, Shannon Staples (Buddy) Pitts. If you knew June Bug, you knew he was an avid Nascar fan and he adored his children and grandchildren.

But you may not know he loved to cook, and fish; preferred cats over dogs; and cried when he killed his first and only deer. You knew he liked you when he made fun of you. We will be telling stories of his dark humor for years.
