OBITUARY Raymond Dwayne Sikes April 23, 1961 – October 21, 2018 Raymond Dwayne Sikes, 57, of Overland Park, Kansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October, 26, at Central Church of the Nazarene, 12600 W. 87th St. Pkwy Lenexa, Kansas 66215, with burial following in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas. Visitation with be from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Special Olympics of Olathe. Ray was born to Jack and Shirley (Nickle) Sikes on April 23, 1961 in El Cajon, California. He graduated from Grandview High School (1979) and received his B.S. – Finance from Missouri State University – Springfield Missouri (1983) and his M.B.A. from Rockhurst University – Kansas City, Missouri (1990).

Ray was successfully employed by the General Services Administration for 23 years. He enjoyed being involved in his children’s lives by volunteering with Special Olympics and in his daughter’s classroom who is a 3rd grade teacher. Ray was a devoted athlete and coach.

He was passionate about mentoring young student athletes in skill, character and life lessons. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Jack Sikes. He is survived by his beloved children, Ryan James Sikes of Olathe, Kansas and Breanna Rae Sikes of Overland Park, Kansas, mother, Shirley Sikes, and three brothers, Rod Sikes and his wife Liz, Rick Sikes and his wife Anita, and Russ Sikes and his wife Carol.

Also left to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews. FAMILY Jack P. Sikes, Father Shirley Jean (Nickle) Sikes, Mother Ryan James Sikes, Son Breanna Rae Sikes, Daughter Rod Sikes, Brother Liz Sikes, Sister-in-law Rick Sikes, Brother Anita Sikes, Sister-in-law Russ Sikes, Brother Carol Sikes, Sister-in-law Also left to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews.
