OBITUARY Raymond Gustaf Fredrickson Sr. June 3, 1924 – November 7, 2018 Raymond Gustaf Fredrickson Sr. of Gardnerville, Nevada was born on June 3, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in Carson City, Nevada. Raymond was the only son of Raymond S. Fredrickson of Ladysmith, Wisconsin and Elsie May Stein of Cudahy, Wisconsin. He is survived by his son Raymond Gustaf Fredrickson III (Gunnar).

Raymond was a Silver Palm Eagle Scout. He went to the University of Wisconsin and held a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois. Ray was a WWII, Korea, and Vietnam war veteran.

Ray had a long military history which included 9 years of active duty in the United States Navy and over 30 years as a United States Marine Corps Medic. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and currently belonged to Genoa Lodge 12. He was also a 60 plus year member of the Elks Lodge.

Ray’s career started in sales and ended with 45 years as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, California. Ray reluctantly retired at the age of 80. He was a Packers and Badgers fan and proud of his Swedish descent.

Raymond will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. To share a memory of Raymond, please visit www.
