Raymond’s Obituary Raymond Kienlen, age 91 of St. Peter, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Benedictine Court. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Catholic Church of St. Peter with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Benedictine Court. Remembrances can be left at www. saintpeterfuneralhome.com.

Raymond was born April 17, 1927 to Louis and Mary (Monahan) Kienlen on the family farm in rural St. Peter. He is a 1946 graduate of St. Peter High School and proudly served in the US Army following school. He was united in marriage to Mavis Lenore Sheppard on February 24, 1954 at St. Anne’s Catholic in Le Sueur.

Raymond worked and lived his whole life on the family farm and also served as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the Red Men and the American Legion, serving as a member of the Honor Guard for many years. He enjoyed music (especially Lawrence Welk), traveling, mowing, trimming trees, gardening, had quick wit and was a friend to all.

Left to remember Ray are his children: Patrick (Pam), Deb (Kevin) King, Louis (Laurie), and Tim (Dawn); 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Myrt Kienlen; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis in 1998, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
