INDIANAPOLIS – Raymond L. Winkle, age 57, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019. He was born in Indianapolis on March 15, 1962 to James H. Winkle Sr. and Mary Kathleen Wright. Raymond married Carol J. (Passwater).

He worked at Earl Scheib Body Shop in Indianapolis for many years. Raymond loved listening to music and was a very giving person. Raymond is survived by his brothers, James H. (Lynn) Winkle, Jr. of Greenfield and Scott L. (Angella) Winkle of Greenfield; sister, Shirley (Jerry) Craft of Bulls Gap, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Linda Sutherland, Elizabeth Willoughby, and Dorothy Smith. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.

Pastor David Woods will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Memorial contributions may be made by mail to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
