OBITUARY Raymond Madison Wills October 19, 1932 – December 23, 2018 Raymond M. Wills was born on October 19, 1932 in Dallas, Texas and died on December 23, 2018 in San Angelo, Texas. His parents were Gertrude Evans and Hamilton Warren Wills. Raymond earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology and a Master of Science in Education, both from North Texas State College (now University of North Texas), where he was also a member of Kappa Sigma.

He also earned a Doctor of Education from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University, Commerce). During his career in education, he served as a teacher, coach and counselor at numerous schools including Richardson Junior High School, Lake Highlands Junior High School, and J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, where he was President of the Richardson Education Association. He also worked for Region IV Education Service Center; San Angelo Central High School; Water Valley ISD, Glasscock County ISD; and Klondike ISD.

Raymond’s achievements included being a charter member of the Sunrise Rotary Club in San Angelo, where he was also named Rotarian of the Year during his membership. His military service included serving in the Naval Reserve and in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Raymond was a voracious reader and football enthusiast who was known for his quick wit.

He was predeceased by his parents; infant brother, James Wills; sister, Mary Wills Pickard, and husband, Lawrence Pickard; sister, Lila Wills Woodard, and husband, Roy Woodard; and brother, Dudley Cadman Wills. He is survived by his son, Warren Clint Wills; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Wills Brooks, husband Jason Brooks, and children Lauren and Colin Brooks; Susan Wills, to whom he was married 30 years; in-laws, Ellen and Clint Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10am at Fairmount Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home. FAMILY Hamilton Warren Wills, Father Gertrude Evans, Mother James Wills, Brother Dudley Cadman Wills, Brother Mary Wills Pickard and husband Lawrence Pickard, Sister Lila Wills Woodard and husband Roy Woodard, Sister Warren Clint Wills, Son Mary Elizabeth Wills Brooks and husband Jason Brooks, Daughter Lauren Brooks, Grandchild Colin Brooks, Grandchild Susan Wills, Former Wife Clint Johnson and wife Ellen, In-Laws Mr. Wills also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
