Mr. Raymond Paul Mannila age 53, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Rylander Theater. Rev.

Wendy Peacock will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. The following are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Elizabeth Gurnack, Gary Fisk, Laura Fisk, Ellen Cotter, Paul Olsen, Sam Peavey, and Julie Meggieson.

Mr. Mannila was born October 29, 1965 in Ishpeming, Michigan, son of the late Edward John Mannila Sr. and Virginia Ann Fortin Mannila. Mr. Mannila taught Technical Theater at Georgia Southwestern State University and was currently employed as the Technical Director of the Rylander Theater for the City of Americus. He was a past President of the Sumter Players and Vice President of production for the Sumter Players.

He was of the Christian Faith. Survivors include his wife Stephanie Gail Harvey of Americus, his mother Virginia Ann Fortin Mannila; two sisters and brother-in-law Shirley Mannila and Lois McIntyre (Ray) both of Michigan; two step sisters Gail Aho (Dean) and Becky Hill (Wayne) both of Michigan; two brothers and sisters-in-law Edward Mannila Jr. (Debbie) and Scott Mannila (Staci) both of Michigan. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a stepfather Shirman Spencer.

The family request memorial contributions be made to the Georgia Southwestern Foundation-GSW College of Arts and Sciences Fund, 800 GSW State University Drive Americus, GA 31709.
