St. Johnsbury, VT: Raymond S. Barnes, Jr, age 52, of St. Johns Street, died at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on Sunday, April 28, 2019, following a rapid decline in his health. Raymond was born in St. Johnsbury on December 9, 1966, son to the late Raymond Stanley, Sr. and Patricia Ann (Richardson) Barnes. He was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury and in the Academy Class of 1986.

He owned and operated Ray Barnes Autobody for many years and truly enjoyed and took pride in his work. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking trips to the casinos. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed by all.

Ray is survived by his 3 children: Tyler R. Barnes of St. Johnsbury, Brittney L. Barnes of W. Burke and Alicia M. Barnes of St. Johnsbury; their mother: Diana Barnes of Lyndonville; a sister: Nyia Kittredge and husband, Brian, of Dexter, NM; 3 brothers: Dwayne Barnes of Waterford, Michael J. Barnes of Dexter, NM and Paul Potoine and wife, Anne, of E. St. Johnsbury; 2 grandchildren: Haven and Cree; a niece: Breanna M. Barnes; and 2 nephews: Derek Dawson and wife, Ashlie Rose, and Rufus Dawson; 2 great nephews: Hank Dawson and Emmitt Deluca both of Lyndonville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his 2 dogs: Bella and Ally.
