Raymond Turone Blake, 61 of Cambridge, departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at Cadia Healthcare in Silver Spring, Maryland. Born December 2, 2018, was the son of the late Sylvester J. Blake Sr. and Beatrice M. Camper Blake and foster son of Catherine Hooper of Cambridge.

Raymond attended the public schools of Dorchester County and was employed with J.M. Clayton Seafood until his health failed. He was a member of Bethel AME Church where he was an active member of the Men’s Choir and ministry. His hobbies included playing basketball, listening to gospel music, cooking and cleaning.

Raymond helped in cleaning around the building at Bradford House. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Y. Blake and two brothers, Wayne T. Blake and Leon R. Blake Raymond leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Sylvester Blake, Jr. (Barbara) of Eden, MD; two sisters: Louise Blake McNight of Hurlock, MD, and Christine D. Blake of Tampa, FL; one aunt, Betty Blake Brice of Easton, MD; one uncle, Medford Blake of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
