Obituary of Rebecca Sutton Rebecca (Banks) Sutton Rebecca (Banks) Sutton, of Shavertown, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after a sudden illness. The youngest of four children, she was born on August 12, 1975. She was a 1993 Dallas graduate and attended LCCC.

She was recognized for her strong work ethic and hustle and was most recently employed by Penn Power Group as a Senior Operations Manager. Becky enjoyed spending time with her family, playing golf, fitness and dance. She was actively involved in her children’s activities and enjoyed watching them excel.

She was a fierce protector of her girls and would take on anyone who tried to mess with them. She was loyal, feisty, stubborn, funny and loving. She worked hard, played hard and loved hard.

After reuniting with her high school sweetheart Doug Sutton, the couple married on July 25, 2015. Together with their blended family, they put the fun in dysfunction and made their family their highest priority. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Callista and Olivia Connors, both of Shavertown; her stepchildren, Jackie and Adam Sutton; her parents, Maureen (Yablonski) and Robert Matiska, Kingston Township; and Jeff and Debbie (Clemson) Banks, Forty Fort; her siblings, Jeff Jr. and Michelle Pallis, Florida; Holly and her husband Jim Fry, Kingston Twp.

; Tracy and her husband Chris Mullen, Philadelphia; half-sister Ariel Banks, Forty Fort; and step-sister Laura Brin, Dallas. To say we will miss Becky would be a gross misstatement. There is a void in our family that cannot be filled without Rebecca.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at St. Theresa’s Church, 64 Davis St., Shavertown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
