Obituary for Regina Marie Doolin Regina Marie Doolin, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Sunday, July 1, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Regina was born August, 21, 1950, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Emmitt and Beverly (Chipley) Doolin. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968. Regina also completed her AA in Criminal Justice from Kirkwood Community College later in life.

She worked at Quaker Oats (PepsiCo) for 36 years before retiring in 2012. Regina was very active: walking, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She spent a lot of time with her grandchildren and enjoyed researching her family’s ancestry.

Regina is survived by her daughter, Mia (LaShun) Beard; son, Macarthur James Jr.; grandchildren, Christian and Donovan Beard; siblings, Emmitt (Michelle) Doolin, Aaron (Nicole) Doolin, Dedric Doolin, Adrienne Doolin-Howard, Derrick Doolin, Kyle Doolin, Louisia (Eric) Harrison, Lori Doolin, Donna Jackson, Stephanie and Steven Bacon; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
