Renee Owens Panguitch, Utah Renee Porter Owens, 91, passed away in Washington, UT on January 20, 2019 with her family by her side. Renee was born on August 11, 1927 to Orland and Maralda Chestnut Porter in Escalante, UT. She married Boyd S. Owens on October 6, 1952 in Fredonia, AZ.

He preceded her in death November 5, 2017 Renee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her loved ones.

She worked at Joe’s Market for many years and loved to visit with her friends of Panguitch. She also loved Escalante where she was raised. She is survived by her children; Steven Wayne (Lela) King, Karen (Kenny) Hoppes, Brian Owens, Tonya (Rex) Johnson; son-in-law Dempsey Morgan; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; brother Marvin J (Gloria) Porter, Escalante; brother-in-law; Glade Reynolds, Richfield.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughters: Nancy King, Maralyn (Robert) Law, Suzanne (Chris) Schow and Patty Morgan; brother Bill (Becky) Porter; and sister, Darlene Porter Reynolds. The family is very grateful for the wonderful care and love rendered by the staff of Beehive Homes in Coral Canyon and Encompass Home Health Care and Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Panguitch 2nd Ward Chapel, 200 N 400 E, where friends may call from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery.
