Obituary of Rennie Berquist Rae Berquist, age 95, of Victory Village, Hutchinson, Kansas, was promoted to her Heavenly home on September 17, 2018. Hers was a very peaceful passing, with family and compassionate medical attendants around her at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge, Kansas. Rae was born November 10, 1922, in Brewton, Alabama, to the late John Warren and Mary Lenora (Lynn) Dixon.

She was the widow of Ardon R. Berquist of Lindsborg, Kansas. She was a homemaker and mother, a past member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Senior Center in Lindsborg. For the past several years she has lived with her daughter Carole and husband Bill Cowell at Victory Village.

Survivors include her daughter, Carole Ann Cowell and husband Bill, sons, John Weber and wife Ellen of Denver, Colorado, Donald Weber of Bayfield, Colorado, step-sons Craig Berquist of Lawrence, Kansas and Kent Berquist of Salina, Kansas; step daughter, Paula Unseth of Huntsville, Alabama; sisters, Betty Long of Augusta, Georgia, and Mary Officer of Wethersfield, Connecticut; brother, John Dixon of Pensacola, Florida. She is also survived by 3 children, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and a host of friends who loved her and who cherish her memory. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son William Weber, sister Amy Calkins, and granddaughter Charlene Burns.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 23, at the Victory Village Chapel, 201 South Victory Road, Burrton, KS. Memorial gifts may be made to Victory Village Christian Academy, at the service, left at Christians Funeral Home in Lindsborg, or mailed to Victory Village, Post Office Box 2068, Hutchinson, Kansas 67504. Rae asked that her ashes be scattered by family at Coronado Heights near Lindsborg, a scenic place that she loved.
