Retired First Sgt. Ronald William Jahn, 62, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Ronald served with the US Army for 22 years and worked for Fayetteville Technical Community College for 20 years.

His favorite hobbies were grilling and baking, watching Nascar and his Green Bay Packers. Ronald was proud to serve his country and his local community. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Jahn and a brother, David Jahn.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Aleesa A. Jahn of the home; three children, Raymond Jahn and (Kim), Melissa Harrelson (Steven) and Robert Marchese (Tina); his mother, Marguerite Jahn; a brother, Stewart Jahn; sisters, Susan Lytle (John) and Carol Hagen (John); six grandchildren, Dakota Jahn-Niccom, Brayden Marchese, Sierra Jones, Tias Jones, Steven D. Harrelson and Lola Cooke-Harrelson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 pm Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the chapel at the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will be held at 2 pm Monday, January 7, 2019 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ronald Jahn’s memory to the American Heart Association, your local cancer center or your local animal shelter.
