OBITUARY Ret. Major Carl Nathan Ponder August 27, 1935 – January 15, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Ret. Major Carl Nathan Ponder of Nacogdoches passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at his home at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 19 days.

He was born August 27, 1935, in San Augustine. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel in Nacogdoches. Full military honors will rendered by The United States Marine Corps.

A catered reception will follow at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches.
