Retired Sgt. Major David Earl Williams, 82, of Fayetteville was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Mr. Williams proudly served our country for 30 years in the United States Army.

Left to cherish his memories are his four daughters, Leslie R. Johnson, and husband, Ervin of Fayetteville, Tina Skinner of Concord, Leigh Mendoza and husband, Pedro of Elizabeth City and Donna Allen of Texas; two sons, David A. Williams of Fayetteville and Alfred Spells of Newark, NJ; one sister, Joan Guilford of Trenton, NJ; a brother, Jerome Williams of Lakewood, NJ; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, February 25, 2019 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service with military honors will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Hospice Promise Foundation, Cape Fear Hospice 3400 Walsh Parkway, Fayetteville, NC 28311.
