Reverend David W. Schmuck, 80, of Masonic Village, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at home. Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Miller and Eleanor (Miller) Schmuck. David was the husband of Nedra Rine Schmuck to whom he was married 58 years.

He will be missed by his children, Timothy Schmuck of Duncansville, and Suzanne married to Dennis Wiggins of Neptune, NJ, and his grandchildren, Samantha and Joshua Wiggins. During his life, David served in several United Methodist churches throughout Pennsylvania, beginning in Windsor in 1963, Chambersburg in 1968, York Springs in 1975, Altoona in 1976, Williamsport in 1982, Tyrone in 1992, Mechanicsburg in 1993 and retired from Lewistown in 2003. David served a sabbatical in Birmingham England in 1974 and during his retirement served in Wellington England and other various churches.

He served on the Executive Committee of the World Methodist Council and was later appointed Director of the World Methodist Pastoral Exchange Program. Throughout his life, Reverend Schmuck served his Lord in countless ways and touched many lives through his teachings of the Gospel of the Lord . One of 6 children, he is survived by two sisters, Reitta Mae Schreck and Roberta Veninger and two brothers, Keith and Robert Schmuck.

He was preceded in death by his brother Dwight Schmuck. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22nd Street, Camp Hill PA on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 AM. His family will receive friends following the service at a light luncheon.

Interment will be private in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
