Life’s Reflection Rev. Gary Irving Holloway, 66, was born on August 20, 1952, to the union of David and Virginia Holloway in Atlanta, Georgia. He was relocated to Yonkers, New York in 1955.

He was educated in the public school of Yonkers, New York and was a graduate of Yonkers High School in 1970. He served his country for four years as an E-3 Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corp. He relocated to Kansas City in 1980.

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He received a certificate of license on February 27, 1994 as Minister under the leadership of Pastor Seawood of the Community Missionary Baptist Church. In 1999 he joined Timothy Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Louis Sipple.

Where he was an Assistant Minister. He also served as Superintendent of Sunday School until he took ill, President of Ministry, and as captain of the Bus Ministry. Throughout his life, he set an example of what it is to be a supportive father, brother and faithful friend.

He truly loved his family. Gary grew up loving track & field he was a great runner. He loved his New York sports teams especially his New York Yankees.

His greatest gift was that he was funny. He kept the whole neighborhood laughing. His parents, and two grandchildren, Angel Austin and Ciera Boles preceded him in death.

Gary departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Kevin Austin, Kansas City, Kansas; Vincent Holloway (Jessica), Kansas City, Missouri and Seth Holloway Kansas City, Missouri; four daughters, Tiffany Holloway, Kanas City, Missouri; LaShonda Muldrew (Benjamin), Kansas City, Missouri; Brittany Holloway, Kansas City, Missouri and Breanna Gonzalez (Heber), Springfield, Missouri; one brother, David Holloway, Jr., Yonkers, New York; four sisters, Karon Greyer, Columbus, Georgia; Verna Holloway, Yonkers, New York; Daniella Edwards, Yonkers, New York and Danita Woodson, Yonkers, New York; seven grandsons, Benjamin Muldrew, II; Darrayan Muldrew; Jaydan Holloway; Dacian Muldrew; Geguieffa Williams; Ayden Williams and Vincent Holloway, II; two granddaughters, Jordyn Holloway and Dakota Williams; his devoted friends, Effie Austin; Deborah Holloway and Larry Dobbins. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
