Rev. Glenn E. Wickard, 91, of Wapakoneta, passed away 5:33 a.m., Mon. Feb.

11, 2019, at Otterbein Cridersville. He was born Oct 25, 1927, in Jerry City, OH, the son of Ray & Bessie (Root) Wickard, who preceded him in death. On Nov.

18, 1945, he married Barbara R. Stephenson, who survives. Other survivors include, 6 children, Glennda (David) Lawrence, Alger, OH, Samuel (Dawn) Wickard, Pittsford, MI, Paul (Tonya) Wickard, Brunswick, GA, Sarah (Frank) Lawrence, Wapakoneta, OH, Mary (David) Head, Sugar Creek, OH, Elisabeth (Jeff) Motter, Cridersville, OH, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a special niece, Diana Collins, Harrod, OH, He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Glenn was a graduate of Cygnet High School and the Spring Arbor College, Spring Arbor, MI.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1947. He was an ordained minister with the Bible Methodist Church- Ohio Conference. Rev.

Glenn pastored churches in Ohio and Michigan, and served as a supply pulpit minister at several churches following retirement. He also worked 27 ½ years at the Excello Corp. , Lima.

He was a member of the Findlay Bible Methodist Church, Findlay, OH. He was an accomplished woodworker, avid reader, and ongoing student of the Bible. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wed.

Feb. 13, 2019, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (St. Rt.

501), Wapakoneta, with his grandson, Rev. Wesley Wickard officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445.

The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wed. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bible Methodist Camp.
