Rev. Adams was educated in the Screven County School System and graduated from Central High School class of 1965. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

He Pastored New Life Christian Fellowship for many years. He worked at Cargill Peanut Plant for many years. Rev.

Adams was preceded in death by both parents, Richard and Willie Maud, one sister, Doris Adams, one brother, Richard Sears Adams Jr. Rev. Adams, 71, entered eternal rest Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Medical College of Georgia Augusta, Ga. He leaves to mourn his death and cherish his memories his wife Tina Maynor Adams, Sylvania, Ga.

, three sons Ricardio (Shymeka) Raymond, Jermaine Thompson Atlanta Ga. , Jamal Roberts Bronx, New York, one biological daughter Ashley Adams Sylvania, Ga. , one daughter he raised Lavieta P. Williams Hinesville Ga, one brother William Page Adams Rochester, NY, four grandchildren Kayden, Ricari, Eric and Danielle, three nephews Rev.

Timothy (Sandra) Adams and Lenton (Carol) Adams, Richard Sears (Phyllis) Adams III of Sylvania Ga and a host of aunts, nieces, cousins, family and friends. Public Viewing: 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Sylvania Funeral Home, Inc., Sylvania, GA Funeral service for Rev. Jerry Adams will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 227 Railroad St, Sylvania, GA 30467.

Rev. Adams will lie in state at the church Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
