Obituary McCloskey, Rev. Joseph W. retired Navy Commander. Father McCloskey “Padre Joe” who served God and his country for 27 years as a Navy Chaplain passed away May 2nd age 85yrs.

He was born and raised in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and was a proud “2 Streeter” and former Mummer. In 1951 Joe graduated from Southeast Catholic Boys High School, went to Temple University, entered St. Charles Seminary and was ordained in 1961.
