Rev. Ray Napier age 66 of Cranes Nest, departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Barbourville ARH. He was the son of the late Albert Napier and Emily (Couch) Napier born to them on January 10, 1953 in Hyden, Kentucky.

On June 26, 1972, he united in marriage with Rosemary Jean Blakely and to this union three children were born. He served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Navy. Rev.

Napier was the pastor of Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon, Ohio and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a minister for thirty-three years. He loved helping people especially his congregation and had been on mission trips to Africa.

He also loved to sing and play music, he could play a variety of instruments. He also enjoyed being outdoors, deer hunting, shooting his guns and riding his four-wheeler and his motorcycle. Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife of forty-seven years, Rosemary Jean Napier of Crane’s Nest, one son, Steven Ray Napier and wife Cynthia of Turkey Creek, two daughters, Alena Mae Carnes and husband Jeff of Gray and Jessie Allison Wyatt and husband Micah of Livingston, KY, six brothers, Albert Napier, Jr. and wife Katrina of Indianapolis, Frank Napier and wife Shellie of London, Freddie Napier and wife Donna, Jeff Napier and wife Christy, Greg Napier and Richard Napier all of Barbourville, one sister, Lois Rosser and husband Steve of Trion, Georgia, three grandchildren, Jacob Carnes, Logan Carnes and Amelia Napier.

He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Rev. Ray Napier will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.

Tim Hamilton and Rev. Ted Eversole officiating. Pallbearers will be Micah Wyatt, Logan Carnes, Jacob Carnes and Jeff Carnes.

He will be laid to rest near his home in the Napier Family Cemetery at Cranes Nest. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. To the family of Rev.
