Reva Jean Brandt, May 12, 1950 — July 04, 2018

Obituary for Reva Jean Brandt Brandt, Reva Jean passed away on July 4 at the age of 92 years. She lived most of her life in the Twin Cities. Reva graduated from the University of Minnesota.

After graduation she worked as a Dental Hygienist in the area. She married Don Brandt on May 12, 1950. They settled and raised their family in the Twin Cities.

She enjoyed spending part of her summers resorting in northern Wisconsin and wintered in Fort Myers, Florida. Reva enjoyed Bible history and taught Sunday school at Prince of Peace Lutheran church for many years. She was an excellent cook, a gracious host, an avid flower gardener, and enjoyed her orchids.

At various points in her life her interests and hobbies included shelling and shell crafts, sewing, needlepoint, knitting, and beading. She followed the Gophers in football and was a fan of the Minnesota Twins (particularly Harmon Killebrew). She often accompanied her husband Don Brandt on fishing outings.

Reva was known for her generosity. She was particularly supportive of training dogs to assist the visually impaired. She loved her long-term friends, her family, and those that provided her care and companionship during her final years.

Reva was preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Don Brandt, her parents, her only sibling, and one grandson. She is survived by daughter Carolyn, and daughter Terry and family, along with extended family. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 12, at Washburn- McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100.

A Light lunch will follow the service. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetary. In lieu of flowers family prefers memorials to the (Seeing Eye Dogs) in memory of Reva Brandt.
