Rhonda Kay Wiley December 26, 1955 – September 17, 2018 MISHAWAKA – Rhonda Kay Wiley, 62, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home. Rhonda was born on December 26, 1955 in South Bend, IN to the late Earl Edward Smith and Frannie (Hanley) Smith, and has been a lifelong resident of this area, attending Riley High School, South Bend. Rhonda worked for many years at McDonald’s and enjoyed playing pool in several leagues throughout the Mishawaka area.

On August 29, 1987 in Mishawaka, she was united in marriage to Ronald W. Wiley, who survives. She is also survived by daughter, Melanie Johnson of South Bend; son, Charles Douglas Shields of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, and Paige Shields, and Theori and Jadyn Johnson; along with great-grandchildren, De’Zyah Rose, Ca’Layla Renee, Ca’Niyah Melissa, Jason Michael, Jordan Edward, Kevin Michael-Edward, Kylieanna Marie, Zay’Vier LaShawn, and Baby Santana, III. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Jo (Ronald) Dunham of South Bend; brothers, Marty Smith of Elkhart, and Randy Smith of South Bend.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Melissa Shields; grandson, Brandon; and infant sister, Debra Lynn Smith. Funeral service for Rhonda Kay Wiley will be 12:00 Noon Friday, September 21, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. , South Bend, IN 46615 with Pastor Denver Burns officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday afternoon from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.
