Ricardo Moreno Sr., 68, of Nevada, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 10, with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Cremation will follow the service.

Ricardo was born February 18, 1950, in Mercedes, TX the son of Pedro and Nasaria (Castillo) Moreno. Ricardo was united in marriage to Wanda Funderburg on January 2, 1998, in Millsap, TX.

He was an avid football fan (especially the Minnesota Vikings) and enjoyed puzzles, solitaire, reading and fishing. Ricardo’s family was most important in his life and he loved spending time with them. Ricardo is survived by his wife, Wanda of Nevada; his sons: Todd (Diane) Moreno of Des Moines, Rick (Jennifer) Moreno of Estherville, Orlando (Kelley) Moreno of Nevada and Ricardo Jr. (Yuri) Moreno of Fort Riley, KS; his daughter, Felicia Moreno (Chris Davila) of Mineral Wells, TX; his grandchildren: Brady Wee, Cody Moreno, Lucas Moreno, Collin Moreno, Geovani Moreno, Jeremiah Moreno, Darian Tamez, Zarias Tamez, Alaina Davila and Mac Lane; and his sister, Estella Tupper of Idalou, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Robert and Frank Moreno; and his sister, Paula Cornelio. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Ricardo. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
