Richard A. (Dick) Heim, 87, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Friday, July 20th, 2018 peacefully, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia. Richard was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 18, 1931, the son of the late Emma (Kern) and Herman J. Heim. He is preceded by his brother Howard Heim, SJ and his sister Mae Schoeler.

Dick Graduated from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was the Owner of Heim’s Grocery Store for 45 years. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Margaret, his children Mary Musial (Michael), Richard A. Heim, Jr. (Francine Gold), Catherine Kelly, Virginia Pera (Andre) and Margaret Fuegel (David); his brother Herman Heim and sisters Emma Rumble and Lois Kuscin.

He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. A public Viewing will be held 9:30 to 11:15 AM and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM both on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 at Our Lady of Consolation Church 7056 Tulip St. in Philadelphia, PA 19135 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101 Interment at Magnolia Cemetery Philadelphia, PA.
