OBITUARY Richard Alan Hood May 21, 1951 – November 20, 2018 Appling, GA—Mr. Alan Hood, 67, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Alan proudly served in the Army for 18 years. He loved going to the movies, working around his farm, reading and watching the military channel.

He cherished the moments he got to spend with his children and his wife. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva Mae Hood. Survivors include his loving wife of 17 years, Mary Faile-Hood; children, Richard Alan Hood II (Angela), Andy Hood (Pierrette), Bradly Banik (Rachel), Rebecca Faile-Hood and Kenneth Faile-Hood; siblings, Jean Mcbee and James Hood; and several grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Road.
