Mr. Richard Alvin Pittman, Sr., 76, of Leslie, Georgia, passed away on May 15, 2019 in Columbus. He was born on October 31, 1942 in Rome, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche Twilley Pittman and Harvey Garnett Pittman; brother, Harvey Wade Pittman; and sister, Donna LuAnn Pittman.

Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley Pittman; sons, Richard Pittman, Jr. and Gil Pittman (Laura); and grandchildren, Jake Pittman (Libby), Kylie Pittman Curles (Corey), and Laura-Mae Pittman. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. William Hall on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
