OBITUARY Richard Curran October 30, 1932 – November 28, 2018 Richard P Curran, 86, a 30 year resident of Boca Raton, Florida died on November 28, 2018 after a short illness at home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on October 30, 1932 in Queens, NY to Richard T Curran and Sarah Maher Curran. He met the love of his life Nancy and married her in January 1955.

He remained in love and adored her during the 53 years of their marriage until she predeceased him 2007. Every week for the last 11 years, he would visit her at the cemetery bringing her flowers and just letting her know he was there and in love with her to the day he died. His time has come, to be reunited with her in heaven.

Richard was a loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Poppy. His number one priority has always been the health, happiness and love for his family. There is nothing that he couldn’t or wouldn’t do for them.

His strength, dedication and loyalty were admired by all. A previous resident of Monroe and Pearl River New York, Richard was a veteran of the Korean War, a retired Detective from the NYC Police Department and a retired Security Director for CBS Television. Richard leaves behind his Five (5) children: Barbara Curran from Delray Beach, FL: Nancy O’Reilly (Dan) of Naperville, IL: Richard Curran of Fort Lauderdale, FL: Daniel Curran (Dawn) of Ringwood, NJ and Kathleen Salerno (Robert) from Boca Raton, FL.

In addition, Richard leaves behind 10 grandchildren (Chris, Ryan, Erin, Jessie, Meagan, Eddie, Danny, Sara, Reilly, Zoey) and 3 great grandchildren (Tyler, Anthony, Tommy) who loved and adored him very much. A viewing will be held at the Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, located at 1100 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432 on Sunday, December 2nd , 2018 between 6-9pm. A mass will be held at St Coleman Catholic Church, 1200 South Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL 33062 on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10am.

A private burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL. The family also wishes to thank the compassionate doctors and nurses who helped care for our father over the past several weeks. In lieu of flowers, any donation to TrustBridge Hospice is greatly appreciated.
