Richard Daniel “Danny” Mayfield, age 59, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 18, 2019 at his home. Danny was born August 21, 1959 in Morgantown, a son of Sally Lee (Reed) Mayfield who survives him in Morgantown, and the late Clifford Daniel Mayfield. Survivors include his son, Clifford Daniel Mayfield of Raleigh, NC; his siblings, Kathy Volk of Washington, PA, Craig Mayfield and his wife Sherry of Knoxville, TN, Amy Xavier of Cameron Park, CA and Brian Mayfield and his companion Micalla of Fairmont, WV, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He attended the Morgantown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he was very active both inside the congregation and with the ministry. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Following a private viewing with his immediate family, Danny will be cremated.

Friends may join the family to honor Danny’s life and legacy at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 379 Smithtown Rd. , Morgantown on Sunday, February 24th from 2 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 PM officiated by Elder Pat Brady. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to offset final expenses by visiting the funeral home’s website at www.
