Funeral services for Mr. Richard “Dicky” Bivens, Sr. 75, will be held on Sunday March 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Friendship Funeral Home with Tom Mapes officiating with burial in the Friendship Cemetery. Mr. Bivens died on Thursday March 7, 2019 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after of lengthy illness. He was born in Memphis, TN son of the late Buford and Mary Ruth Nichols Bivens and lived most of his life in Dyersburg and Jackson, TN and was the retired owner of Mid Town Motors.

Mr. Bivens was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson and was a veteran of the U S Marines. Survivors include his wife Carol Bivens, Jackson, TN, and son Dicky Bivens, Jr., Jackson, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Weech, Tim Fortner, Bobby Summer, Lynn Bivens, Freddie Bivens, Michael Lenski, Charles Dean and David Cohen.
