Obituary for Richard F. Miller Richard F. Miller, age 76, of Amherst Jct, WI passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston, WI. Richard was born in Chicago, IL on October 8, 1942, the son of the late Robert and Violet (Probst) Miller. He graduated from Lane Tech and spent years working in different trades.
On May 16, 1964, Richard married Pauline Ratkowski in Chicago. In 1976, Richard & Pauline moved their family to Wisconsin. Following retirement, he became a bus driver for the local school district which was notably his favorite job.
He was a former member of the Lions Club, Little Britches Rodeo, Knights of Columbus and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pauline Miller, Amherst Jct; his children: Mary Beth (Mark) Repinski, Amherst; Bob (Maureen) Miller, Stevens Point; Amy (Alan) Thoe, Murfreesboro, TN; Rich Miller, Weyauwega; Maggie (Donnie) Trzebiatowski, Amherst and Adrianne (Craig) Bongard, Amherst Jct; 17 grandchildren: Matthew Repinski; Maureen (Chris) Domask; Joe, Marcus & Emily Miller; Heather (Kraig) Sells; Michael (Kris) Thoe; Aaron (Jessica) Thoe; Rebekah Thoe; Kaitlyn, Anthony, Anna Marie & Nathaniel Miller; Gwenyth & Coleman Ballard and Elizabeth & Douglas Bongard; 8 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Barbara Sternik, Valerie (Richard) Prescher and Christina Rossi, a brother-in-law, Joe Davis and many loving nieces, nephews and lifelong best friend Kenneth (Lorraine) Malecki.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Katherine Davis and brother-in-laws, Alfred Rossi & Stephen Sternik. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 14 at 11 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with Father Dan Hackel, presiding.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst with a General Rosary at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of mass at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Iola Living Assistance and the staff at St. Clare’s Hospital for the wonderful care given to Richard.
