Richard F. Zipp, 86, of Old Bridge, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Morris Hall in Mercer County. He was born in New York City and had resided in Queens before moving to Old Bridge 53 years ago. He had a successful career as a Civil Engineer for the New Jersey Turnpike before his retirement.

He was a volunteer fireman with the Cheesequake Volunteer Fire Company and was about to celebrate 50 years of service. He was pre-deceased by his parents George and Anne, a son Michael, a brother Eugene, and a sister Georgiana. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Joan Zipp, a daughter Christine Boytis, and 4 Grandchildren, Erin, Ricky, Katie and Shannon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, New Jersey. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10 AM in Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
