Obituary for Richard Giles Grant Richard Giles Grant, age 86, passed away December 5, 2018, in American Fork, Utah. He was born in Los Angeles, California on March 23, 1933. He married Lou Jeane Peterson on December 23, 1953 in Saint George, Utah.

Richard Grant is survived by five children including Douglas, Karen, Craig, Kathryn, and Richard. His was preceded in death by his wife Lou Jeane, passing away in August of 2013, and his son David Glen. Richard served two year in the United States Army during the Korean War, as a radar technician.

He received a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and Master degree Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Richard went on to a successful career in technology, eventually retiring after several decades with IBM in the San Francisco Bay Area. Richard was also a lifelong devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A viewing will be held at Serenity Funeral Home in Draper on Thursday, December 13, 2018 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A gravesite ceremony will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake City cemetery.
