Age 84, surrounded by his loving family in his Mt. Lebanon home, on Monday July 23, 2018. Beloved husband for 54 years of Carol (Kubiak) Breier; devoted father of Gregory J. (Lisa) Breier of Novelty, OH, Douglas R. (Mollie) of Peters Twp.

and Sherri Marie (Kraig) McEwen of Mars, PA; proud grandfather of Jackie, Jayson, Carlee, Casey, Alec and Kyle; brother of Donald (Sharon), Jim (Barbara) Breier, and the late Nancy Zdrale; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dick was a 1952 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He began his career in the water heater industry as an employee of the Ruud Manufacturing Company of Pittsburgh in 1957 and two years later was a founding member of Water Heater Specialists. In 1985 he became the owner of Water Heater Distributors. Dick enjoyed old cars, boating, spending time with his grandchildren, and creating a lifetime of memories at Conneaut Lake.

He was an active member of the Duquesne Canoe Club and the Western PA Corvair Club. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon Wednesday 6:00-8:00p.m., Thursday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church, Friday morning at 10 o’clock. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Lebanon School District (memo: DIck Breier Scholarship Fund), 7 Horseman Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15228 or Family Hospice 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.
