Richard’s Obituary Ishpeming- Richard J. “Luke” Lucas, Jr., age 76, of 521 N. Main St. Ishpeming, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his home. Richard was born in Jeffersonville, IN on November 18,1942, son of Anna Bagshaw (who died while giving birth to him) and Richard J. Lucas, Sr He worked for many years as a Truck Driver for the Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. at the Empire Mine until his medical retirement.

Luke was a man with countless interests. Activities such as photography, tattoo artistry, archery, and jewelry making captured his imagination. However, his lifelong passion was motorcycles.

Richard is survived by a brother, Thomas (Robyn) Lucas of Ishpeming, 2 nieces – Kristen Lucas and Kerry (Christopher) Hytinen, great-niece Kendra Anderson and several cousins. He was preceded in death by two sons- Stephen and David Lucas, his birth mother, and his parents Richard and Catherine Lucas. A private interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
