Obituary for Richard Kaminsky Richard Kaminsky, 75, of Summerville, husband of Josephine Eleanor Kaminsky, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Summerville Medical Center. A gathering of friends will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5 o’clock to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to MUSC Children’s Hospital, 165 Ashley Ave. , Charleston, SC 29425. Richard was born on March 19, 1943 in Mineola, NY, son of the late Ignatz and Mary Kaminsky.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Adelphi University. He enjoyed playing golf. His hobbies were woodworking, stain glass and cooking.

Survivors including his wife Josephine of 52 years are: one daughter: Leah Joan Gallagher (Paul) of Long Island, NY; one son: Matthew Thomas Kaminsky of Summerville; four grandchildren: Alyssa Russo, Anthony Russo, Olivia Rose Kaminsky and Matthew Anthony Kaminsky all of Long Island, NY; one sister: Olga Peterson of Long Island.
