Richard L. Adamson, 81, of Akron, Indiana passed 7:45 am, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Woodlawn Hospital of Rochester, Indiana. He was born on Jan. 19, 1938 in Rochester, Indiana to Paul and Eula (Stanley) Adamson.

He married on July 23, 1960 in Argos, Ind. to Shirley Luckenbill, she preceded him on March 25, 2016. Dick worked for the Fulton County Highway Dept.

, the Fulton County Sherriff’s Dept. , and the Indiana Dept. of Transportation.

He also owned and operated A&M Service Station of Rochester. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He was a member of the American Legion Post #36 of Rochester.

He had been very involved with the Fulton County Republican Party. He enjoyed woodworking of all kinds and collecting guns and knives. He also enjoyed spending time with his McDonald’s group for many years.
