Richard Leroy Morigne, age 67, departed this life on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his home. Shortly after high school, Richard served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He was a father, brother, friend and talented musician.

He would often tell stories of how he played for James Brown and Bootsie Collins. These were times that put a big smile on his face. Preceded in death by his father, L.H. Morigne and mother, Birdie Bone.

He is survived by son, Ricky Morigne of Apopka, Florida ; daughter, Latara Morigne of Dubuque, Iowa; granddaughters, Zierra Lopez and DeAnna Morigne; devoted nephew, Perry Morigne; a host of other family and friends. Friday, May 3, 2019, the family will assemble at 2:00 p.m. at Tennessee State Veterans Rotunda, 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN for Words of Comfort.
