Obituary for Richard Mettler Richard Mettler, 92, of International Falls, Minnesota passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at the LittleFork Care Center, Littlefork, MN. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, ND with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah. Richard was born in Beulah on December 9, 1925 to Otto and Ida Mettler. He was raised and educated in Beulah.

He met and married Cleo Hauck and moved to International Falls in 1963. Richard owned Dick’s Liquor Store and worked as a welder at the local paper mill until retirement in 1988. Richard enjoyed lake living and feeding his deer, ducks and chipmunks.

He also loved dancing and especially enjoyed dancing to polka music. Richard is survived by his son Perry (Glenda) Mettler; daughter, Pamela (Wayne) Mathews; three grandchildren, Jeff, Jeremy and Jennifer (Brian) Lacher; three great-grandchildren, Cody, Maddison and James; one brother, LeRoy Mettler; three sisters, Agnes Wiedrich, LaVern Dassey and Veda Stellwagon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ida; two sisters, Rufina Zeller and Irene Blahna; and one brother, Gilbert Mettler.
