Obituary for Richard P. Lozano Richard P. Lozano, of Terrell, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He was born June 12, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan to Juan and Ramona (Pena) Lozano, both of whom preceded him in death. Along with his parents, Richard was also reunited in Heaven with his daughter, Sylvia Lozano and his brothers, Roy and John Lozano.

Anyone meeting Richard for the first time instantly recognized what his family was privileged to see daily- his calm and kind personality which made every meeting a meaningful encounter. His ability to offer wisdom and advice in any situation made others immediately at ease as he shared his boundless knowledge about a variety of subjects. His humility ensured that every conversation and interaction left others with a distinct feeling that, while Richard knew a lot about many things, in no way did he feel he was the ultimate authority.

His life was lived fully when he was emulating the example that Jesus set for us all by serving others. His kindness, generosity and willingness to assist in any capacity solidified his reputation for being a man of honor, principle and values-in short, a true man of his word that could be counted on by anyone at any time. Richard was a faithful member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and his strong faith allowed him to place his priorities by serving God, his family, work and others.

His strength, both physically and spiritually, were well known among all that knew him. On November 26, 1961, Richard married the love of his life, Augustina, and together they made a life filled with love, respect, family and dancing! Richard’s loyalty extended even into his professional life and he worked many years for Kroger and finally retired as Market Manager having garnered the respect of countless customers, colleagues, vendors, and suppliers.

Richard was a quiet man, however his words carried great insight and vision and his family and friends are proud to carry on his heritage of honesty and integrity in their own lives and future generations. Richard leaves to cherish his memory his wife of over 57 years, Augustina (Tina) Lozano of Terrell; son, Richard Lozano, Jr. and wife, Gina, of Terrell; grandchildren: Veronica Michelle Esparza and husband, Manny, Richard D.
