Richard’s Obituary Richard Paul Bienvenue Sr., 68, of Nederland passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Richard was born on October 4, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Mae Dora Acosta and Robert Joseph Bienvenue. Richard was a veteran serving his country in the US Marine Corps and he had lived most of his live in the Nederland area.

He was a mechanic by trade working with Port Arthur ISD and Jefferson County. He enjoyed working on classic cars and he was also a volunteer with the Nederland Fire Department. Richard was a loving man who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Tommy Bienvenue and Johnny Rice. Richard is survived by his wife, Debbie Bienvenue of Nederland, his sons, Robert Bienvenue of Groves, Richard Bienvenue Jr. of Groves, Paul Bienvenue of Austin, his brother, Robert Rice of Newton, Carol Smith of Lumberton, Mary Holland of Wildwood, Shirley Daigre of Gross Tete, LA and three grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at America Legion Post 7, 3750 Memorial Blvd.

Port Arthur, Texas 77642 from 10 AM until 12 PM.
